Diet Delights Doha, a Lebanese franchise, has opened a clinic in Al Hilal, Al Nuaija Street and being managed by Sharaka Holdings.

I just discovered Diet Delights Nutrition Center when I realized that I was not able to control my portions and having high calorie meals for lunch although I work in front of a computer for 10 hours a day.

I am lucky as I know what is right and wrong for my body and health. Maybe you need assistance, don’t know how to arrange your meals or just want someone to push and motivate you. Diet Delights team is there and they really have delicious and healthy menus which they prepare according to the specific needs of each client.

They have a clinic and a restaurant.  Clinic has a nutritionist and dietitian that is offering consultation, detailed measurement of body composition, metabolic rate  and monitoring your improvement during your advised program.

I haven’t been to the clinic but ordering desserts and meals to my office as they offer home and office deliveries of daily meals. Instead of having fast food you can have a healthier meal with fresh ingredients that will make a huge difference in your body.

Raising the Steaks in Doha

Yes, that’s what The Butcher Shop & Grill do.

The Butcher Shop & Grill Restaurant is located in Villaggio Shopping Mall.

Restaurant is decorated with a dark wooden furniture and they have comfortable leather seats inside in which you can relax and get away from the busy atmosphere of the shopping mall.

Butcher Shop & Grill is one of the places that you can find good food in shopping malls. I believe it`s meat lovers favorite place. 

They have the finest imported beef and butchers that make perfect steaks. Their secret is aging the meat and cooking techniques.

When we look at the history of the restaurant, It’s like the old fashioned butcher rooted in traditions that run deep, where specialist block men cut and prepare your meat as you like it. The Butchery at The Butcher Shop & Grill is renowned for its customized butchering.

The staff are attentive and service is good.

They allow you to choose not only the size and cut of their Steak, but also exactly the way they want it cooked.

I prefer well done steak however it is not the way that cooks prefer as meat gets dry, tough and flavorless. That’s why its better to ask their advice to have the best taste and not to be disappointed.

As starter, they serve freshly baked buttery breads along with three different kinds of butter and olive oil.

Even the starter makes you feel full that’s why I try not to eat and prefer to wait my juicy thick sliced leg chops.

Healthy way to Eat Ice Cream is Frozen Yogurt at Golden Spoon

I love frozen desserts and now a big fan of Golden Spoon frozen Yogurts in Doha.

The founder of Golden Spoon wanted to create a healthier frozen dessert than anything available on the market at the time.

And they really make a big difference. Not only creating exceptional frozen yogurt experience having different taste of yogurts they also replaced their styrofoam cups with an exclusive, eco friendly and biodegradable alternative.

These are the cups bio - degrade in 21 days.

They are located just opposite of Hyatt Plaza and in Al Jeezera Petrol Station.

Daily they list the flavors and you can choose one or more flavor in a single cup along with your choice of toppings.

I have found out Golden Spoon when I was going through my entartainer book. They had one buy one free offer which is a perfect deal for couples.  

Our favorite is red velvet cake and Graham Crackers.

 Plus I have used their cups for one of my DIY Projects.

We have been to Emporio Armani Caffe which is located at 7 La Croisette, Porto Arabia, Pearl.

Design of the restaurant is very elegant and Emporio Armani Caffe is very well known for their atmosphere especially it is the best spot you can chill out after a visit to shops and a tour in pearl.

As starter we had small buns along with a dip sauce which we liked the most. However I do not prefer to have a bread unless it is baked by them or includes nuts or fibre.Anyway, dip sauce was very tasty.

As main course we had pizza and ceaser salad.

Most of the michelin star chefs says that you can understand the quality of the chef from the sauces they use, especially for the ceaser salad as everyone has a different way to do it.

I liked the pizza, it was made with fresh ingrediants and that`s why they make a big difference.

As I have gone through the other comments on several forums most of the visitors advised to try their Tiramusu and coffees.

Mr. Gyros is in town.

Who is Mr. Gyros?

He is the chef of Mediterranean Greek Cuisine, which is noted for being fast, fresh and flavorsome.

He offers authentic gyros, famous Mediterranean menu on Salwa road Al Jazeera Petrol Station with a 30 seat nice decorated American Style restaurant.

We had a quick dinner there before joining to our yoga session. Their halloumi cheese sharwamas are that much light that we can immediately head to yoga.

Its is good that they serve salad instead of french fries. They also have fresh juices.

Mexican Food in Doha

If we recall our post here about mexican food in Doha, you will remember California Tortilla.

Based on several visits and excellent taste, here you are another post for the ones did not tried Mexican food yet.

I had Taco Salad with shrimp. For the sake o being healthy I`ve ordered salad but its in a fried potatoe shaped plate. In first I decided not to even taste the fried potatoes but couldnt resist and nothing was left after 10 minutes.

Not feeling well with this. So most probably our future posts will be related to fitness and being healthy in Qatar.

No issues at .all about seating or waiting for the staff, everything was great.

Visit to a French Style Cafe The Shakespeare and Co

Today is the day for a dining –out post.

You know I have been to Abu Hamour area for a hair cut. It was the first time that I have been in that area and realized that there is a shopping mall as well. Dar Al Salam shopping mall. How come I missed that!

Dar Al Salam Mall is a UAE based chain and is just 30 minutes away from Doha City Center.

It’s one of the newly opened shopping malls in Doha and I loved it. This is the first time I shopped without any stress in Carrefour and no queue in cash, there is no crowd no touching each and every fruit, vegetable or bread, you enjoy your shopping. Compared to other Carrefour`s this one was a smaller and do not have electronic item part. But you will have a chance to find better vegetables and fruits.

Dar Al Salam is recently opened and not all shops are running but Carrefour is more than enough for food shopping and Shakespeare and Co is the café – restaurant that you must visit once.

The Shakespeare and Co. concept consists of an upscale –casual café-restaurant, a French style which will make you feel like a prince or princess.

Decoration makes this place different and interesting. There are frames on ceiling, curtains draped all over the restaurant, painting and much more.

We had chosen the comfortable sofas in corner and welcomed by the staff and was so happy of their great service.

We ordered Blue cheese & Pear Salad and Hallumi Cheese.

Starter

As starter we had an amazing butter with garlic and pesto sauce that I never tried before. It was so tasty with the small buns.

This is the delicious blue cheese & pear salad. You can see that its so rich with raisins, nuts, cheese and greens.

I am not a person who orders salad in a restaurant. It’s a side dish for me. Even I don’t like to mix salty and sweet tastes this salad was a signature recipe.

This is my favorite every where and I usually do at home. Maybe it’s the easiest thing in the world. : )

I was used to use the spring rolls at home but this was tasting different as it was a hand made dough.

I liked it.

Hand Made Cakes from Magnolia Bakery

Magnolia Bakery is originally an American Bakery had their first branch in New York`s West Village.

Now they are in Doha.

American baked goods, vintage décor and has warm and inviting atmosphere.

If we recall one of the unique decorated restaurants, you will remember our post about Shakespeare and Co which is also located in the same place, Dar Al Salam Mall.

Bakery is open every day from 8 am to 11 pm they have an open kitchen so you can even watch them while baking and decorating their cup cakes.

When talking about the lunch we had at the Shakespeare and Co one of my followers suggest to try Magnolia Bakery.

On Friday I was there and give it a try.

I have ordered a Pistachio Cake. I love pistachios. It was so fresh, light and tasty. It makes you feel to eat one more slice.

Let me tell you one thing portions are really large which is a good thing and prices are slightly higher than other bakeries. 

I heard that their red velvet cupcakes are so popular so next time let me try that or if you tried already and have been to Magnolia don't forget to leave comments.
